My name is kostas and i am the voice of the band overgarven.Also i am writing the lyrics of the band. What does the term "heavy metal" mean to you? What significance does heavy metal have to  your band? “Heavy metal”.hmmm!! I'd say Heavy metal = Endless fucking headbanging with full power!! Metal is an expression from persons who have no borders.Death,black,power etc is heavy metal music.I can't add hardcore,rapcore,crossover to the heavy metal section. The significance of heavy metal to our band is huge.The reason is exclusive to our solo guitarist “dick”. How does your nationality influence the type of music you play? I can't believe that our nationality influence the style of music we are playing at all. Maybe we have a few parts same with the greek metal scene but i'm not sure even for that. You must judge that thing!!My opinion is that we have some influences from greek metal bands but i could say the same if we was a gothenburg band. Here in greece we have a proverb - “If you don't like your home as it is then it will fall in your head!!- There are a ton of bands releasing albums these days. Why should anybody care about your  band? Really there are ton of bands.That's the reason were labels sign very carefully now and bands must play something very good at least or a different kind of metal from the usual metal bands with fantasy and inspiration to find a good contract.We believe that we are not the band with full fantasy & inspiration but we have something different from the most bands.Death/thrash metal with many heavy metal melodic riffs and a gothic feeling in some parts because of the female vocals.It's a different mix. Complete this sentence: "The ideal fan of this band is somebody who... " ....drinks a lot!?!The ideal fan is the person who loves melodic death metal generally.Somebody who listen bands like children of bodom,in flames,rotting christ but not so aggressive or even in the musical parts early iced earth and iron maiden What are the best and worst trends that you are seeing in heavy metal lately? The worstest trends are some fashion shows and some people wants to call metalheads only the persons who wears leather & spikes.Where do we live and what year?It's 2006 and not 80's or 90's.The best are the stage shows,festivals which becomes more & more fantastic,aggressive and with the best quality and fantasy. What is the greatest challenge facing you as a band? The greatest of all is some live shows support to a big name or a tour in europe with a big number of fans to check as!Well,really greece is not heavy metal so popular as the other countries.So all are dreams to make us happier! Rank these musicians, from first to last, according to their historical importance to  heavy metal. (Trey Azagthoth, Joey DeMaio, Ronnie James Dio, Leif Edling, Steve Harris,  Tony Iommi, Quorthon, Chuck Schuldiner, Jesper Stromblad, Tom G. Warrior). I think that is not possible true to rank these legends. All of them have their own story and darkness even on death metalfor Chuck Schuldiner even for Joey DeMaio in heavy metal or Quorthon in black metal.All of them have their own story but each of them for the music they was playing! Rank these magazines, from first to last, according to their integrity and commitment to  heavy metal. If you are unfamiliar with one of them, note that and put that mag at the  end. (Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles, Isten, Lamentations of the Flame Princess, Legacy,  Metal Maniacs, Miasma, Pit, Scream, Snakepit, Terrorizer) Also the same logical reasons exist at this ranking too.All mags are famous to the whole europe but each one of these is more dark/black or even else more core/new metal style. Or, tell us about your favorite  piece of writing about heavy metal instead. Well i read the impure metal article more and it's fucking incredible.My opinions are the same with the article and agree 1000%.It was very interesting and it could be a part from the bible of heavy metal instructor.Also my favourite pice of writing is the underground heavy metal instead.I'm watching very much the underground scene and i like to discover new fucking good bands!!! What five new albums are you liking lately, and why? Nightwish-once, Rotting christ-Sanctus Diavolos, Soulfly-Dark Ages, In Flames-Come Clarity and Amorphis-Eclipse. Final words?
